Materials:
- 1.5 cups Zer chickpeas (pre-soaked)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 dried onion (chopped)
- Zer liquid oil (for frying)
- 1 tablespoon Zer tomato paste
- 300 grams of cubed beef
- 1 red pepper (chopped)
- 2 green peppers (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon of Zer salt (optional)
Its making:
- Preparing Chickpeas: Soak the chickpeas with plenty of water from the evening. The next day, drain and rinse the water
- Sautéing Meats: Heat the Zer liquid oil in a large saucepan. Add the chopped dried onion and fry until pink. Then add the cubed veal meat and fry until the meat releases its juice and Tues.
- Add the Tomato Paste and Turmeric: Add 1 tablespoon of Zer tomato paste and 1 teaspoon of turmeric to the cooked meats. Fry for a few more minutes, stirring.
- Add the Chickpeas and Vegetables: Add the pre-soaked chickpeas to the saucepan. Then add the chopped red and green peppers as well. Mix all the ingredients well.
- Add Water and Salt: Add 4 cups of hot water to the saucepan and add 1 teaspoon of Zer salt. After stirring, let it come to a boil.
- Cooking: After boiling, cook over low heat for about 1-1.5 hours, until the chickpeas and meat are tender. You can add water if necessary.
- Service: Serve hot after your chickpea meat dish is cooked. If you want, you can serve it with rice or yogurt on the side.
