Materials:
• 1 cup Zer green lentils
• 1/2 cup noodles
• 1 onion (chopped)
• 1 tablespoon Zer tomato paste
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 4 tablespoons of Zer sunflower oil
• 5-6 cups of water (or vegetable broth)
• Zer salt (according to request)
Its making:
1. Preparing the Lentils:
• Wash the green lentils in a strainer and leave to drain.
2. Sautéing the Onion:
• Add the sunflower oil Zer to a large saucepan and heat it up. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns pink.
3. Add the Tomato Paste and Spices:
• Add the tomato paste Zer and red pepper to the sautéed onion. Fry for a few more minutes, stirring.
4. Add Lentils and Water:
• Add the washed lentils to the saucepan and mix. Then add 5-6 cups of water. Add the salt.
5. Cooking:
• Bring the soup to a boil. After boiling, cook over low heat for about 20-25 minutes until the lentils are tender.
6. Add the Noodles:
• Once the lentils are tender, add the noodles and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the noodles are cooked through.
7. Service:
• Serve hot after your soup is cooked. If you want, you can serve it with lemon slices on the side.
